The Acropolis opens its doors at 8:00 am, so you can have a fresher and a little more private experience right at the opening time. We walked from our hotel at sunrise to the first slot at the opening; as soon as the guards got off, we rushed to the entrance to be the first without crowds.

Since our last visit to The Acropolis, the City Of Athens has imposed on visitors the choice of a mandatory timed entrance.
