Spring Break Destinations to Visit in This Year

After a long winter, spring breakers rush out the doors and jump on planes, trains and cars to enjoy your perfect vacation. Especially for students, these holidays are a much-needed break, but families also flock to the sand and the sun. I know that our families go every year for spring break to have fun in the sun. The dates of spring break change a little every year, but usually fall between mid-February and mid-April. This leaves travelers with a wide choice. So what are the best spring break destinations?

Best spring break destinations for 2024

You can go sightseeing in New York or spend endless days on the beaches of Punta Cana. It all depends on what your boat is floating on. The fantastic thing about spring break is that there is so much variety in the weather and activities at this time of year. If you are traveling to the Southern States, Mexico or the Caribbean, you can guarantee the sun and incredibly hot weather. You can also find ski holidays in places like Aspen and Park City or book cheaper off-season flights to European destinations like Paris.

In this guide, we will help you find the best spring break destination that meets your needs. Whether you want to stay in the United States, travel to South and Central America or cross the Atlantic to Europe, these destinations are perfect for spring break.

1. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Punta Cana is beautiful, with beautiful beaches and crystal clear green waters. It is located on the coconut coast of the Dominican Republic, a magnificent coastline with luxurious resorts and striking white sandy beaches. Punta Cana is the ideal place if you are looking for a Caribbean solution. It is an excellent destination for water sports such as windsurfing and sailing, as well as for visiting natural attractions such as Cotubanama National Park.

2. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, United States

Myrtle Beach is the spring break capital of South Carolina and one of the best beaches in the United States. (And this was the place we always went to during spring break) South Carolina is somehow an outsider on the American tourist scene, but Myrtle Beach destroys any idea that the state is not a worthy candidate for spring break. This seaside resort has a vast beach located on 60 miles of beautiful white sand. And its sand is lined with a traditional seaside promenade with kitsch arcades and souvenir shops. The kids love it, believe me, I did it!

3. Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik is a beautiful city if you want to visit Europe during spring break. The walled city is decorated in a stunning terracotta orange and is so striking that it was chosen as the backdrop for King’s Landing in Game of Thrones. With the new episodes of House of the Dragons coming this year, there is no more current place to visit in Croatia. If you haven’t visited yet, you should make it your year.

4. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Cabo San Lucas is one of the closest Mexican destinations to the United States on the west coast. If you want to save the travel part of your spring break, choosing Cabo San Lucas can significantly reduce your flight time. Located on the Baja California Peninsula, the resort has a reputation for nightlife, water sports and beaches; what’s not to love? “Cabo” is an iconic choice when it comes to spring break.

5. Costa Rica

Costa Rica could be a fairly general addition to this guide, but we’ll explain why in a moment. Costa Rica is a beautiful place to visit during spring break. It is full of volcanoes, wild animals such as sloths and jaguars, and waterfalls hidden in the rainforests. If you want an adventurous spring getaway, Costa Rica is our first choice. This is especially true for students studying subjects related to wildlife and conservation.
